can anyone point me in the direction of an up to date Beardie food list?
all the ones i have found so far on here are years old, and even the the info on the feeding caresheet has contradictory info because it says to avoid kale as it dangerous but i have just been reading a thread saying that kale is actually GOOD for Beardies!
its all very confusing - and i'm doing my first ever greens & veg Beardie shopping trip tomorrow.
I don't know of a newer list really. This one is older but still a pretty good reference http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html As long as you aren't offering something toxic then offering as much variety as you can while including some favorites regularly is a good bet.
Here's one that was referenced in The Bearded Dragon Manual - because this breeder helped rewrite the book. The list isn't as comprehensive as Beautiful Dragons, but has handy pics.
Kale is a very good staple, it has less oxalates than collard greens and some of the other greens. The info was incorrect for years but it's hard to un-do things that are passed around as fact for so long. Greens like turnip, mustard, collard, kale, dandelion, endive, arugula, and green leaf clover are all good choices.
