hello all
Winston is my 6 month leusistic and hes is finally shedding on his body now
he is doing his normal shedding behavior, being skittish and the like
but i woke up this morning to something interesting
he has been puffing up his beard and body, and then once in awhile shaking his head in circle with his mouth open
I'm trying to get a picture for you guys but hes not sitting still
I'm not really concerned, i figure hes just trying to loosen the skin
anybody else have this happen with their beardies?
Emmalee, would not shake her head as much as rub it all over the cage furniture. She would also scratch herself like a dog would, using her back feet to scratch her face and ears. She would also puff up, deflate, puff up, deflate....over and over. She would also get quite irritated and would often be black during a very huge shed process. I think this all sounds normal to me.
Sounds normal. Ollie was doing the exact same thing last night, and it was the first time I've seen him do it, but I figured it was all due to shedding
They sure do get irritated when they shed. Mine also does the dog like scratching, and I call it bear scratching, he 'll get under a branch and just rock back and forth, he turns all sorts of colors and puffs his whole body up, then two days after he's completely shed I have my happy baby back
