Hello. My dragon jasper had a bm this morning like he does every morning. Hes going through a shed right now. Usually he dosnt eat alot during his shed. But yesterday he ate alot. For dinner he had two 4" hornworms like 30 bsfl. A whole kale leaf and 3 dandelions. Ive had for 3 months first bm like this. His temp are 101-108 measured with baby thermometer temp gun. Cool side is 84-89. Has a 24" t5. 2 100 watt incandescent bulbs. In a 40 gallon breeder. Calcium dusted on horn and super worms up to 5x a week And herpivive 1x a week. He ate at 4pm and whent to bed at 9. Is it possible he just to much and didnt have time to digest it all? The other half looks very digested just that one chunk of hornworm. He seems healthy. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Yeah sometimes things move through undigested and it's no big deal. As long as it doesn't keep going like that for several weeks (which could indicate a digestion issue relating to many possible factors) it shouldn't be of much concern.
I don't know if this will help but its some advice I'd like to add. One time my Teto was being lazy for about a week and wouldn't go from basking in the light, to her hide at night where she has a small heat pad. This cause her food to not digest all the way and for it to all go bad ( we think that's what the problem was) later that week I came home to her and a good amount of puke in her tank. She was fine after a day of only having water and some baby food but the moral is, try to get them into their hide if you have a heating pad or something. This might be from something like this? I dunno. Just thought I'd add.
