He looks pretty good. I'd guess him at roughly 500 grams. Thats a good weight.I can't tell if Tex is underweight, but I'm concerned about between his hind legs where it seems some bones are protruding??? Idk ... He's also been sleeping more and pooping less, often hiding in his hides not often coming out
I believe (and hope) he's male, I checked between his legs once, and saw two lumps... I hear different there is it's a male from my mom... but idk if that's true, would you perhaps know why tex is acting the way he isHe looks pretty good. I'd guess him at roughly 500 grams. Thats a good weight.
Are you sure he is a he though?the shape of his head looks more female to me. ( we certainly can't predict sex accurately that way, but they do USUALLY look distinctly different)
I don't for sure know, I got him at petsmart, I believe I have my assumed birthday for him somewhere on my profileHow old is he? He may be trying brumate.
I'll post a picture of how to sex him View attachment 93921
Ok not hardly a year old. That's young for brumation. That don't mean he won't do a seasonal slow down.I don't for sure know, I got him at petsmart, I believe I have my assumed birthday for him somewhere on my profile
Never thought it smelt bad honestly, I don't smell anything from his poops, though a few I've seen some have some of his food in the poop...Ok not hardly a year old. That's young for brumation. That don't mean he won't do a seasonal slow down.
How is his poop. Stinky or chase you out if the room stinky. If the poop is really bad, collect a sample and drop it at the vey. Ask for a fecal float test. It should be less than 100 dollars. What ever you do DO NOT let the vet do an enema there is a very high chance they would injure/kill him that way.
And i just gender revealed tex, he's a male... (forever tormented by the judgemental look I was given)Ok not hardly a year old. That's young for brumation. That don't mean he won't do a seasonal slow down.

When they force water into their bum to make them poop. It's insanely dangerous for beardies. And whats an enema?
I know that look all to well. And i just gender revealed tex, he's a male... (forever tormented by the judgemental look I was given)
Oh! What's even the point of that? Those poor things...When they force water into their bum to make them poop. It's insanely dangerous for beardies.
Don't we all know that. Look , about time I feed him, his way of saying he's hungry is by staring at you with either a puffed pancake or just ... Maliciously smiling in a wayI know that look all to well.
He will probably develop the big male meaty head as he ages. I love the way a full grown male looks.
I agree - looks fine. Looks very much (!) like my Taco. Taco brumated at an age of less than a year, approx. 10 months, without problems. But yes, if possible, a fecal. He looks pretty good. I'd guess him at roughly 500 grams. Thats a good weight.
