So, our new beardie is almost 4 months old, about 12 1/2" and about 105g female. I've noticed a few things. First, her face will occasionally twitch.? Like, maybe just a few times a day, mostly in her neck.? Almost like a small hiccup, but I know they cant hiccup. Also, she twitches occasionally in her sleep.? I think.? It sounds like she's settling in for bed, like when they pull themselves into their spot for the night, but she's been asleep for over an hour. Both of these are only a couple times throughout the whole day. Naturally, google says it's signs of MBD, but the breeder we got her from confirmed she was healthy and she recently had a check up maybe a month ago, if that. Secondly, she smacks her lips a lot. Like, how after they eat, they smack.? She'll do that several times a day, even when she hasn't had anything and the tip of her tongue is real pale looking, and I could be wrong on this one, but it looks like the tip of her tongue looks... I don't want to say split, but I don't know how else to describe it. But I could be wrong on that part. The tip of her tongue does look pale and she does smack a lot, and that's concerning. Any ideas.? Surely it's not MBD. We do give her calcium with her salad and I'll dust either the crickets she eats or her superworms. Her limbs don't look swollen or anything, I just want to make sure the twitching isn't a concern.
