Evie is almost a year old (in a month or two), and she used to LOVE eating tons of crickets, but now that she isn't growing as much she really isn't interested in them anymore. She has maxed out at around 11.5 inches and around 390 grams (her tail is nipped so I don't think she will ever get bigger in length). She kind of likes greens, but she will not eat more than 3-5 crickets a day. Any suggestions about what to feed her as a staple? she also hasn't been going to the bathroom as regularly (I think it is because she isn't eating a staple all the time)... any suggestions about her with that also? Thanks for the help!
Good staples are dubia or discoid roaches, black soldier fly larvae, silkworms and butter worms. You can rotate these out as needed and add hornworms and wax worms as treats. When he reaches 16" you can add super worms to the mix, but not as a staple since they are fatty. I learned that the hard way as one of my dragons blew up on supers. Oops. Killing her with kindness a little.
Do you have a local reptile shop that carries any of these feeders?
