Hey everyone - You have all been SO helpful with my newbie questions - thanks so much!
Here are some pics of Trixie and Dixie, and their viv. the tank is 4' wide and about 4' tall as well. There's a shelf unit on the bottom for storage.
They are nearly 3 months old now. While they are clutchmates, Trixie is larger and doesn't mind being held as much as Dixie. Dixie is still a bit skittish.
They are green leatherbacks; I purchased them from a very nice girl - breeder on Craigs List. MUCH nicer than the ones you find in the pet stores!
My two main questions that STILL make me nuts are - how often and how do ya hold them, and WHEN will they eat the Phoenix worms? WHEN!?
So - enjoy the pics, please feel free to comment as I'm a new mommy, and let's chat!
Ohmygosh Trixie is PRECIOUS!!! I love her little face! And I feel it's only fair to warn you now that it's too late, your bearded dragon will very soon turn you into a slave. You'll come to understand every little facial expression, every smile and *death glare*. I've only been a beardie momma for about a year, and I'm already a good little slave lol. Both of mine are seeping on me right now It's worth it, though, especially when they nuzzle you the first time when they get comfy.
It's a rough life, lol, but you seem up to the challenge!
And *envy* at the awesome deal you got!
-edit- I feel dumb...I completely blanked out n didn't realize there was a Trixie and a Dixie lol they're both adorable!
wow a beardie with their own laptop in their viv!!!.. what kind of substrate is that, looks like marble or something (not under the laptop) the whiteish looking one in his tank.. craigs list seems like the way to go, other than rep. shows. when people post where to get a beardie i always suggest c l.
hit post a reply, then but your beardie on the keyboard (wonder if their heavy enough) and see what happens. post it under pointless and sad posts with a heads up to what your doing, there are many pictures of beardies on keyboards, but how many post. watch now everyone is going to do this.
