I'd like to know if anyone has ever flown with their beardie, and if so what were the airlines' stipulations?
I ask because I need to go out of town to work for a while and I'd like to take one of mine with me, probably my girl as she is most likley gravid and I'd like to lighten the animal care load for my wife. We have 19 pets, 5 furry, 2 feathered, and 12 scaly guys (2 probably gravid corn snakes), 18 baby dragons , 9 dragon eggs, and 28 corn eggs.
She is a little less than pleased with my unexpected, somewhat lengthy departure.
All help and ideas are appreciated.
I will be depressed without all my critters.
Phone call with Westjet told me that they do not have the appropriate permit to carry reptiles, they are looking into it as they are getting more and more requests. The women I spoke with did however give me the number for TSA as they are the only ones who can give you permission to bring animals on air flights that normally do not carry the permit. I don't have it on me as im working out of country right now, but im sure you can google it)
Air canada, United and Delta none according to there website include reptiles in the animals they allow to be carried.
I did some looking into this a few years ago out of curiosity, and the airlines that did mention reptiles would only allow them in cargo. Which is ridiculous. Things may have changed from then, though.
