Hey all,

Just wondering how everyone transfers their beetles? Do you guys pick up one at a time or is there an easy way of removing the beetles from one breeding tank to the other? The only thing i can think of without disturbing the eggs and supers is to pick up the beetles by hand. its a pain in the arse considering i have 200 + beetles going.

well i have egg crates and stuff in my tank so they are always hiding ontop or under and I just pick it up and shake them off then I pick the rest up by hand.

I would agree with John. Place some partial egg crates in there and let them gather on them. Then just transfer the crates into the new bin. The ones that are left you will need to move by hand. When you do this, try not to disturb the substrate as this is where ALL of the eggs are.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
