We broke down and got another beardie. The girls were so sad and we felt so bad. Looking at pictures of the first one in comparison to this one, the first one definitely looked sick and I'm mad at myself I wasn't able to tell. He was so chill and looked so cute when he'd run with his tail at attention. But, this one is acting much more like a lizard. It took a few days of hand feeding for him to stop hissing and even trying to bite and he now associates us with pets and food and comes running and lets us pick him up no problem amd will sit in our hands all day. I have been finding conflicting information from everywhere and want to make sure I do it right. I have small crickets, dubai roaches and kale. (He won't eat veggies and fruits yet) and he acts like he's starving all the time. I set the cricket hotel into his tank so I could get to them easier and he dove for the box, bleping it like crazy. He'll eat as many as I'll feed him. He does go to the bathroom normal so I don't think he's sick or anything. I guess my question is, how many crickets/roaches does he need a day.? He's about two months and probably 7 or 8 inches long. Here he is with a kale hat looking at me like I'm the ridiculous one.
