On Friday, June ??, I took my beloved monster out of the tank. Little did I know, he had succumbed to a rare virus that had laid dormant for years. As soon as I took him out, I knew something was wrong. A few frantic calls to local vets (my usual was on maternity leave) and we were off. Unfortunately, this virus had no cure or treatment, and I had to put my baby down. Only 4 years old. I missed him terribly, and couldn't imagine being without a dragon in my life. In his honor, I adopted another on the following Sunday. Still, Sideburn will be missed immensely, and always will. Rest in peace.
