I have been reading about how much I should be feeding Aela. I feed her crickets mostly and sometimes a bit of banana, just because I havent gottten to go to the grocery store and buy her some greens But when I feed her, i feed her at most 20-25 crickets twice a day and sometimes a little snack in between.
I have read to feed her until she decides that she is full, which should take 10-15 minutes. But she literally only takes 3-5 minutes to eat her 20 crickets. Should i be allowing her to eat as much as she wants? Im afraid that if i do, i might be causing her to overfeed because I have no idea when shed stop. She still seems like she could eat more even after the 25 crickets.
Not to mention that crickets are expensive where i get them, but i have been told to order online. The sites ive checked out so far are more expensive because of shipping, but i was just recommended a new site that I will be checking out today.
Any suggestions or am I doing the right thing?
I just want to make sure that shes getting enough to eat. And as soon as I get her on her greens, she should be good, right? I'd feed her the greens as a snack every other day?
Its just confusing because all these sites say different things.
How old is she? As a baby she should be eating a mostly insect diet and will likely not eat many greens at all. As she gets older, she will transition herself to more greens and less veggies.
Try ordering Dubia Roaches. They are easy to keep alive. You can breed them yourself to save money.
