I changed up my setup yesterday from a 125W Solar Glo (do not recommend!!) to a 100W Basking light (Zoo med) and the Zoo Med T5 10.0. The T5 sits above some mesh about 8-10 inches above the basking spot and 18 inch above the floor. This is the first time since I got my bearded dragon Henry that the temperatures are right: 38,5C right under the basking spot C23,5 on the cool side. Measured with a probe thermometer. The last two days my bearded dragons activity has been insane compared to before. He moves way faster and more smoothly. Also both days he pooped while normally he only does this every 3/4 days. He also is eating like crazy. But today in the afternoon I noticed him looking for shade. He sits for hours unders his hammock. Do I have too much heat/UVB now? Or does it just take some getting used to? [/QUOTE]
