Hey guys, I don't know if any of you have read my thread on Cyrus, but this is just a little concern I've got with him the past couple days.
I bought him a hammock about 3 days ago, and it was fine, he loves it, but yesterday I lifted it up by about an inch and tightened it so that he wouldn't roll off of it, and could lay comfortably while being totally relaxed. Unfortunately, I didn't take into account how close he gets to the UVB light now. I have a little picture of him, but it isn't a great photo, as in the position he is in, the distance is okay, but if he goes to the left a bit, he can get within about 2 inches of the UVB light. Will this cause pain to his eyes?
So the question is, is this going to be too close to the UVB light? Thanks guys.
I've heard the general rule is 6-8 inches. I don't know know what the possible problems might be getting closer than that, but I try to follow the guidelines as closely as I can. I figure that people have determined that distance for a reason.
