Tips for recovering beardie???

My beardie has just finished a 6-month-long round of vet visits and medications. She was dealing with a respiratory infection and parasites and wasn’t having bowel movements —but that’s all over now.

Her bowel movements are regular and they are solid! However her appetite is nonexistent right now. She has ate like 2 horn worms and two dubias when offered and did not want anymore and she completely ignores her salads. She won’t even respond much to hand feeding. She’ll have a couple pieces of greens if I’m lucky and then no more.

I started to give her reptaboost and she has 3 mLs of that but by the end of it, I’m begging her to finish it bc she’ll try to run away from me. Today I was successful in giving her 2 mLs of butternut squash with calcium and 2.5 mLs of repashy grub pie. She was actually pretty enthusiastic about these two things.

But then I gave her 3.5 mLs of water and she left her basking spot to cough a few times and I got very scared that she had her URI back or that she got water in her lungs and I drowned her somehow with a dropper?!

But she only coughed a few times and she wasn’t black bearding and she seems alert so I’m not sure if I’m in the clear or not…(if anyone has insight on this pls let me know)

But anyways. I just really wish she’d go back to solids but clearly it’s going to be a process for this. I didn’t know if anyone had any recommendations? I want to make sure she’s still getting all her nutrients and I want to prevent weight loss. She looks skinnier than before but it’s hard to compare bc her parasites and constipation made her VERY bloated. I was looking into the oxbow critical care stuff but there are so many varieties and I didnt know which to choose. Any suggestions are appreciated! I’ll also post some recent photos of her from today.

As far as the Oxbow I'd go with omnivore or herbivore.
You can try giving her a non-dairy probiotic. Meds wreck their appetite, sometimes it takes weeks to come back.

Hi you must be so sick of me lol I’ve made quite a few threads about my beardie’s ongoing problems but you’re always the first to reply. Whenever I post these, I’m so anxious and paranoid and you’re so quick to answer and it gives me so much comfort and I’m really appreciative of you!

I think I can coax my girl into eating bugs if they’re super worms (she never passes up on the worms), so should I get the critical care herbivore?? I noticed there’s like an apple/banana flavor and an anise flavor - which is safe for beardies? And everywhere I look there’s no real guide on dosage…

Aww thank you 🙂
I'm always happy to help 😊 you ask as many questions as you need to 🙂
Either variety is ok. I've used the anise flavor and my girl lapped it right up. I haven't tried the strawberry-banana but they will probably like that also. The herbivore is good.
I mix about 1/2 a teaspoon with just enough water to thin it that I can use an eyedropper to administrator it.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
The head tilt tho! Aaaahhh
