I saw a female Discoid in my colony today what appeared at first glance to be an eggsac she was transferring to her, well I dunno what it's called but its where the egg sac sits for the 28 days before they hatch, but then as I continued to look at it... it appeared to look kind of different than the others I've seen. It almost looked dead... that's the best way to describe it. Is it possible that an egg sac got aborted or w/e, but she can't ditch it, or it is stuck? Or maybe some of them just look that way... I dunno. I'll post pics if I can find my camera and she is still carrying it tomorrow.

No it looks whole, and it's not dried out or anything... (doesn't look like a little raisin stickin outta her) but it just looks kinda gray and bleh compared to the others.
Looks like she's missing half of one of her back legs... since they use their back legs to move the egg sacs is it possible she couldn't get it all the way in or out and it just kinda died in her? and IF that's the case... is she really any good to me at all or should I just feed her off...
