Hi. Just bought a thermometer from petsmart. I thought it was a probe but it's not, it's just digital. I spent $27 on it because they didnt have any of the other $10 probe ones I normally buy. Do you think this will be ok or should I try to return it to petsmart =/ ?
I have that one too, its not very accurate. Sometimes it was off 5-7 degrees. See if you can return it and get one from walmart thats much better and cheaper.
I just got 2 from walmart that are acu-rite brand they are wireless digital. They save high and low temps for a 24 hour cycle. And they are accurite within 1 degree. Only 9 bucks I know its not directly on the basking spot but its 2 degree difference between there and the readout.
I got a temp gun from harbor freight for like $30 works great I can check anywhere anytime. I did have one from walmart also when I started it was like $9 had a probe and also the receiver itself read the temp where it was + humidity. Still have it and works, used it for my roach bin and when I want to check other stuff doesn't take long to get a reading
Thank you guys for the feedback. I returned it and got two accurite ones with the probe and they measure everything! Walmarts still good for something lol.
