It took me a minute to Spot Taco in the baby pic lol. He is a mighty dragon now!!Love this Also love that she had the same bed from the beginning on, to keep something that is hers
And reminds me of two comparison photos of my Taco, showing him on or next to the same branch. (That one was August last year to March this year.)
Despite hatchlings and babies are cute, of course, I'm honestly glad that my dragon isn't a baby anymore, and we can do more together - like cuddling, sitting on the balcony And he can run around in the apartment, supervised of course, but it's possible as he won't fit through the air vents anymore.
When mine was small, I was always worrying (despite he was perfectly healthy, but just if... if he might get ill, if there might be a freak accident with this tiny body, if...) and I was looking forward so (so!) much for when he's at least almost grown up.
I remember when Taco was half the size he's now, my husband said this would be the perfect size he should stay at (By that time, he'd never seen a fully grown one live, only online, and he was still somewhat in the "well, reptiles, reptiles... I don't like them so much" mode. So in his opinion the "I'm somewhat skeptical about" animal should stay rather small )
Absolutely %That's how people are. We feed them so they grow big and healthy, and when they grow up, we miss the times when they were little.
Despite he wasn't that tiny - the branch was (is) that bigIt took me a minute to Spot Taco in the baby pic lol. He is a mighty dragon now!!
He will likely change more, at 2-21/2ish his head should fill out and become much more meaty (for lack of a better description) that's when I think the males look the best. I absolutely love an ole meaty headed boyDespite he wasn't that tiny - the branch was (is) that big
Taco was very similar in size to a fully grown "typical" lizard like a sand or fence lizard at that time. He was 3 months old at that time and normal-sized for that age. (Reptile store gets 2 month old dragons, they sell fast and often one has to pre-order them - but Taco was the last one. Had initially planned on going to pre-order a beardie the week I then bought him, and brought him home a week later. Picture was taken about a week after that, so that's Taco close to three and a half months old in the picture.)
It was really like, when he was this age, each time I entered the room and checked on him I thought "I hope he is alive...". Despite I had many pets before, and reptiles too, and this little guy always did well, but... still, pet mom
He's quite mighty but not overweight. Just a big guy. I'm curious whether his facial features will change more. And my husband now also is totally fond of him and dares to cuddle with him
Ikr they grow soooo fast.Where has the time gone!?
Not at all. She still eats everything in sight lol. She has calmed way down now though. She has learned bed time is cuddle time and settles right down in the evenings. Through the day though she still wants to check everything out, and trys to hop down and go explore. That shows hiw healthy and happy she must be! But I agree, they are so mega adorable as babys
Is she showing signs of wanting to brumate yet?

Sinatra is down, I miss the heck out of him but the girls are still showing zero signs.Love it. Mine got tucked away yesterday
Luis has been out kicking till last week but went in his cave yesterday. Lilly has been in hiding a lot and was barely eating the last weeks. And October is about the right time I would say, so I did put them both away.Sinatra is down, I miss the heck out of him but the girls are still showing zero signs.
It was late November the two times Ruby has gone down so she may soon. Zsa Zsa is only 8 months old so probably next fall at earliest for her.
