My tank is having a problem with a few things. One, I can't get the temperatures to go above 90 degrees. I am using a Heater in the room, but it gets so hot that I the tank was once 108 total on both sides! I also can't keep the 10 degree difference on the cool side and on the warm side. I am using a 250 watt Ceramic Heat Emitter, but it's not producing the correct temps.
Please help with any advice you have
Thankyou

Ok the problem is the bulb. For heat ie basking you need a bright white bulb. not only do they produce better thermogradients, but they protect the eyes from the damage UVB can do. It needs to be placed right beside the UVB tube right to one side of the cage. It all depends on the size of the cage as to what wattage you go for, but normal household incandescent bulb are the best!
