For such a little girl, she has a pretty strong bite. I was surprised (unpleasantly I might add lol)When presented with the choice of a green hornworm or a pink one....she chose both.![]()
I hand feed her quite a bite. ... I get but quite a bitten lol.She just really wanted to eatlol
I think she'll get better at it as she gets older (but I'm not sure lol)

I used to think Zsa Zsa was the most foos motivated beardie I ever had (and she was) but Lucy is on a whole other level.
I was cleaning a poop a other days ago and she grabbed the paper towel and tugged on it like a dog pulling tug-o-war with a rope. It took a good amount of effort to take it away from her. She bites the bowl when we put bugs in also.
No problems getting that one to eat lol.
Interesting, I heard something similar on our local social network. But everything was much harsher there.I hand feed her quite a bite. ... I get but quite a bitten lol.

That's what Christina said as well.Sounds like she might need a middle name
Lucy Calamity-?
Or even better Lucile *lucy* Calamity?
Wow!!! I'm glad mine don't act like that sheeshInteresting, I heard something similar on our local social network. But everything was much harsher there.
(I translated the owner's story)
The dragon was 4 months old, everything was fine with the conditions.
At first, he bit during feeding, even after he had eaten his fill.
Then he started to pinch when he climbed into my arms, he would climb in, sit for a while and pinch. He asked to be picked up, he climbs onto my arm so that I could pick him up, instead of sitting quietly, he bites, and then runs away to hide behind a snag.
Plus, he started to impose his own order in the terrarium, the wire from the thermometer constantly gets in his way, he tries to move the stones, throws food that he doesn't like and a bowl after eating.
This still happens, so Lucy still behaves quite correctly lol.
Oh I like thatlucy jane!
Mine isn't doing this, but thermometers aren't his thing. Means: tries to remove them. Since he was little.Plus, he started to impose his own order in the terrarium, the wire from the thermometer constantly gets in his way, he tries to move the stones, throws food that he doesn't like and a bowl after eating.
She is more dangerous, she getting bigger but still attacks food. Her bite actually hurts now. I have to use one of the glass doors to shield my fingers when I offer treats. ... but I still offer treats I just can't resist lol. She just gets so darned excited at the thought of food.Hello,
That is pretty funny! They have such sharp teeth, right? She will get more gentle as she gets used to
taking food off of your hand.

None of my other beardies have ever been this excited for food. By the time they were becoming juveniles they settled down. Not Lucy though, I swear anyone that just was seeing her for the first time would think I must mot feed her enough.Today... I fed Taco one superworm. One - as when there are zero insects, he tends to not leave his cave/ retreats into a cave. So "no bug day" is currently "one bug day", but on multiple days.
He looked into the bowl, ate that worm, then looked intensively at me while I ate breakfast with his "human, you have a job to do!" look. I gave no additional worm (obviously). He then puffed up his beard a bit (orange-colored), not really mad, but "looook!" I petted his face - no worm - and left for work
(I was, however, never bitten by him.)

So I just put it in briefly when necessary and remove it afterwards.
