Taming a Beardie

Hey, guys I am beardie sitting for my friend for the next 2-4 days. The beardie is 2-3 months old and mean, I just went over to feed him, when I got here he bit me, when I left I could pet him without hissing or running away. All I did was slowly put my hand in the tank and slowly and lowly got closer to him and eventually got to petting it, kind of like a tokay gecko. I know you can wet your hand for taming a leopard gecko but do you guys know any other tricks to taming a beardie? I also wanted to know if there is a way to sex a beardie this old? I know they say you can't accurately sex a beardie at this age but do you guys know any tricks for this?

Hey werm you can try wearing a tee shirt all day then put it in the viv to sleep with so the beardie picks up on your scent. Also when going in go slow and have a piece of green in your finger and when he or she lunges at you stuff it in its mouth. Other wise just go slow come in from the side and gently scoupe under its belly. Also you need to hold it a few times a day.
