Tail.

Ok. Our new bearded dragon, we have had him for a week. Notice this mark on the tail. Did it get a pinch? Or the beginning of tail rot? What should I do? will it just heal?

Do you feed crickets? I'm on my phone to picture is a little hard to see, but it kind of looks like an insect bite to me.
Some of the various insect we feed can bite, crickets are the worst. Never leave them in their habitats.
If it is a bite you can treat it with raw unpasteurized honey. It's incredibly good for wounds and such.

It's hard to see, there is something dark and the image is blurred (phone camera focused automatically on the fabric instead?).
Could you maybe take another picture? Usually nothing with patterns in the background works best.

If cricket bite, I'd agree with xp29. But a better picture to actually see it would be good.

Yeah there's a small indentation there but no telling if it will heal or get worse. Only time will tell. In the mean while you can use raw honey as mentioned or a little bit of silver cream . Soaking it in a betadine /warm water mix might be helpful as well. One part betadine to 10 parts water.

I do feed crickets. This makes sense. I put some honey on it, and took out the left over crickets. What a rookie mistake, thank you. If there any other suggestions please let me know. Here is another photo I tried my best.

Not a cricket bite, crickets put actual small holes that look like what they are, a bite that looks raw. This is bent from some accident. Definitely keep your eye on it , it can go either way but if it gets worse it can be serious, even ending in tail rot.

Ok, thank you everyone. It’s been a week. It was a pinch. We ended up taking him to the vet. he said put Neosporin on it. If it gets worst bring him back. Today I was about to do it again put his Neosporin on it. It looks though it’s shedding, or could it just fall off ? I tried to take a pic put the pics don’t show anything properly.

Yes it's a pinch, it sounds like it's about same as before. You're doing all you can do so just watch it as you have been.

She was having a staring contest with a mealworm. I guess I never taught her to not play with her food, lol.
