My Daughter's Bearded Dragon seems to have a very dark tip of the tail. I wanted to make sure it's not tail rot. She shed about a week ago and looks to be about ready to shed again but most of her gets lighter when she sheds not darker. I have pictures of her from feb 22, yesterday and today attached.

That is not tail rot --- here is some info on tail rot
Causes of tail rot are:
1. Injuries/trauma - caused by falls, or by any other bearded dragon.

2. Malnourished - make sure he has a balanced diet and he gets the nourishment he needs

How to identify tail rot:

1. Dried out - Decaying tail won't be able to retain moisture, check if it's dried out completely.
2. Very thin, brittle - Decaying tail won't be able to process nourishment, causing it to become more thin and brittle.
What to do after finding out it has a tail rot:
1. Go to a vet - very recommended
For more info, please see the link: Bearded Dragon Tail Rot: What the Dark Tail Mean & Treatment
T Ask yourself these questions:
Was the tail recently injured?
Was a part of the tail open (eg wound/scrape/cut)
Was flesh exposed?
Is the tail constantly dark? or does the darkness ever go away (eg when in the tank, different environments)
If you didn't answer yes to basically all of those questions, it's not tail rot.
Tail rot is extremely rare. It's an infection of the flesh, from a wound or injury to the tail.
Tail rot is really kind of just a fancy name for an infected wound, one of which is affecting the tail.ail Rot

Hello,

I agree, the tail looks very normal to me, also. It might be getting ready to shed but the tails have nice
light & dark bands on them too. Some have more dark bands than others, but it is completely normal
in appearance.

Thank you both very much for the reassurance. After an attempt to keep a bearded dragon ended tragically years back I'm absolutely neurotic about making sure Beebz is happy and healthy. I went ahead and posted a long (way too long sorry) introduction to Beebz in the appropriate forum. Thank you both again for taking the time to look and make sure our little girl is OK.

Hello,

Oh no, so sorry to hear your first dragon didn't make it. Losing one, especially your first one is
incredibly difficult, unbearable really.
You can post any length of post you would like on here, no worries at all!
Let us know how your girl is doing & if you have other questions or concerns.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
