It looks like it might actually be.
There is some home remedies you could try i think, but personally being that close to the end of the tail, and the potential for infection i would probably take him/her to the vet and have the end removed. Looks like you caught it early so an amputation would probably heal with no farther issues.
I'll flag a coulpe people that know more about it than me though.

Im not an expert by no means, so i could be wrong. AHBD or Drache613 should be more definitive.

Yes it is, sometimes it will fall off on it's own but it's much better to have it amputated a little ways past the visible wound to prevent it from spreading. It's not a major surgery and beardies do very well with it, they don't feel much pain in their tail. Some people even do a small one like that themselves with a very sharp pair of sterilized scissors, betadine and non pain relief Neosporin. A vet can do it more safely though and your beardie shouldn't even need to be put under.

Thank you, and yes to be safer I’ll be taking him to the vet.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
