I've had my baby beardie for about two months now, and I've noticed her tail is, different. Her tail looked kind of dead looking when I got her, and now it looks like a little stump. It doesn't seem to be discolored or anything, and it doesn't look as dead as it did before. I'm worried it is tail rot, but I'm not sure. Any questions to identify are just fine, I just need help with this.
Update:
Here is a picture. If this isn't enough I can try to get a better one.
It looks like there is a crimped bit at the end of the tail which may be from trauma like a bite or getting caught in something. It could be a shed that didn't come completely loose as well. It's possible that the end may come off but as long as you keep it clean it should heal over well and not be a problem. It's a pretty common issue among dragons which are kept in crowded tanks when they're young.
Ok thank you! I also asked on another website, and which also replied it could be a shed that didn't come off and restricted the area. Thank you for the reply!
