I recently adopted an adult beardie (2-4 years old, pet shop wasn't sure), and was wondering what you thought about his tail - is it tail rot or is it shedding? About 3 inches looks a slightly different colour, the very tip looks black. Is this something he needs to urgently go to the vet for do you think? Thanks so much!
It doesn't look like a tail infection or tail rot. Has the tail recently shed? It is possible that there could be a bit of retained
shed on the tip which is very common. Overall the tail looks healthy.
You can get some shea butter, or coconut oil to put on the tip to moisturize it in case there is some retained shed.
