Tail rot, or just symptoms of having a long tail?

So, Falkor here has a tail nearly 10 inches long, which is very long if I understand correctly. I know that if a beardie’s tail is long enough, it can develop dark spots near the tip, possibly shown in the photo. I am concerned that this could be tail rot, however.

Hi there, the length is very average/normal but I do see what looks like an area that has been stripped away. Is that what you mean, the area about 1" up. Near your pinkie ?

Yes, that area. Please note that my camera is less than ideal for photographing animals, so it may look lighter in the photo than it really is. I also see a small patch of lighter scales a little closer to the tip. His tail has only looked like this for a few weeks.
