Well, I recently purchased 2 of them, and I just saw the post about them being harmful. Both mine are L1's. But i haven't noticed any problems with theirs eyes, and they seem to be doing just fine. Should I get rid of them (the bulbs) or keep an eye on the beardies and how their doing?
Also, what is the distance of the T-Rex to the beardie in the basking spot? What are the temps and what type of thermometer are you using to check them?
Moved here from Health forum since about an enclosure item
I got a 100 Watt Active heat bulb from them, for one of them its about 16" away with the basking spot reaching about 100 degrees. And on the other its about 17 with the temps reaching 97.
Although, I think I might take the big guy off it, he seems to be squinting a little bit now that I start to look at him more. Ill switch him back to his old one. What should I do then?
Ugh, im confused. When I got back from school, the big guy was happily sitting on his rock, no squinting at all. I think i might be imagining things sometimes. And his eyes dont seem to be swelled up at all.
I recently purchased one as well and am having no problems whatsoever. This is my 3rd T-Rex MVB. I tried 3 other brands of MVB's (Powersun, SolarGlo & MegaRay) prior to the T-Rex, and the T-Rex has been the best by far for me.
I have been using the T-rex MVB bulb for about a year and have seen on problems at all with eye swelling or squinting, so no worries hopefully and just keep an eye on him.
Like I said if you are not having issues then you did not get a bad bulb so I wouldnt worry unless you see issues.

Distance is fine. Can you post a pic of his eyes for me?
Ill try to, I switched him back to his old one and he seems to be much happier, so I'm gonna contact petmountain and see if i can get a replacement bulb.
