I am new to this board, and have a question. I just bought a ton of swiss chard for my beardies because it was one of the only bunches of "greens" that looked really good today at the store. I also bought mustard greens, and red chard. My question is this, is the chard ok to give my beardies? I have researched and found such conflicting information. I have heard it is ok, ok only in moderation, and not ok at all as it is in the spinach family and will keep them from absorbing the calcium. On beautifuldragons.com she says in moderation. If that is the case that is fine and I will go to a different store tomorrow and pick up some dandelion greens. Let me know your thoughs. And of course......thank you !!
Ok that is what I figured. I swear I am going to shrink down the list of appropriate greens and laminate them so I can put them into my wallet like a credit card. It seems that when ever I go I cannot remember what is good and what is not. I dont want to keep giving them the same stuff week after week. Again thank you.
hehe, its ok. i brought him home as my first rescue. he was badly wouded at only a few weeks old. basically, he is the result of housing and feeding multiple young dragons together.
his two front limbs are gone from the elbow/wrist down. he doesnt really have any back "limbs" to speak of; he has a very short stump where his back left leg was.
i got him out of there i bit too late, but at least he wasnt euthanized like they were planning . can you imagine, they were going to put him in the freezer ...
hes my little healthy boy. hes always got a brite white chest and tummy every time i see him. he almost never black beards me(only when i gets really frightened) and he always seems so content.
