I just read in the ER section to give sweet potato.
I presume cooked - do you give it mashed or pieces?
How much and how often? I've never heard of giving this before.
Niko is fully grown age unknown - but at least 5 years old.
Thanks for any replies.
Hi! I'm a newbie but have read that sweet potato is good, i buy little packs that are already peeled and cubed, i just grate them like i do carrots and my guy seems to like it!
So, is it raw or cooked when you give it?
I live with parrots and they must not have any type of potato raw -
and I know raw potato is bad for humans -
so that's why I want to make sure whether to cook it or not for a beardie.
Thanks for any help.
Evie loves it in baby food form. I get organic and she will sit in my hand and I either put some on my finger and she "licks" it off or on a spoon. After a few times of doing this, now I am able to put it in a lid (like the metal baby food lid) and put it right in her home. She loves sweet potatoes, squash, and carrots, and for a treat pears. She does get it all over her little face, but it will come right off in the bath. Beware if you would have sand, because the sand would stick to it. Hope this works for you!
