well, i ordered 250 superworms online this month and they just came today, and they are much larger than i had hoped for. There about twice the length of the space between his eyes. my guy is 16 inches and i feed him supers and reptiworms as staples and am now wondering if i can feed these supers to my guy. What does everyone here think, will it be ok or do i have 250 superworms that i have nothing to feed to. please help opinions greatly appreciated
I dont think that space between the eyes rule is applicable for worms. They are so skinny and get chewed up pretty good. Supers only get about 2" long fully grown and you have a good sized dragon. Wait for more experienced owners to chime in here but I think you are fine.
yeah, i was thinking of trying to feed them to him, i alternate so he wouldnt be getting them everyday, i might do a test run, feed him a few, see how much he chews them, monitor his stools, i am gonna try to pupate some of them but i dont want to do all 250, that would be a lot of beetles, and a lot of film canisters. anyway, anyone else think differently, id love to hear it, thanks
From what I recall the space between the eyes rule only applys for dragons under 16 inches. Once they hit 16 inches their digestive track straightens out so less risk of impaction
