I know that most are frowned upon and actually really bad for bearded dragons, but are there any loose substrates that can be used? I was looking into the excavator clay from ZooMed but I can't use that for all of it. I currently have tile but I wanted to try something more natural looking again.
You mean like desert material natural? I am not familiar w/ any safe stuff--- one of the more experienced people on here would be able to answer that question like Cooper Dragon or AHBD or some others as well -- you can check out the enclosure board and look for substrate

I personally wouldn't recommend it, it isn't worth the risk IMO. Try some shelf liner, they come in some really natural looking colors/textures. Good luck!
