Hi! My new 8 month old beardie, Calcifer, is acting very strange. We know he eats veggies, witnessed it with my own eyes. But lately he wont eat them off the plate, but rather out of my hand or off the ground. It would be laughable if it werent so dang annoying. He would have a full plate of salad in plain sight, yet only eat it if I moved it off the plate and made a mess. Any explanation would be appreciated! Thank you!
That just sounds like an individual personality quirk. Dundee was kind of like that too (in the rare cases he ate on his own). He liked his bugs to be fed right off the floor. He would ignore them on a plate or towel etc, but would pay attention if they were right on the floor. Maybe try offering the food on a paper towel or something like that so you can strike a balance between his quirky needs and having mealtime be somewhat orderly.
Lol alright. Cal has been full of personality since we got him! In fact, today he climbed up a full set of stairs all by himself. He was just happy hopping up step by step. Cant wait to get to know him better! Thank you for the tip
Both of my boys (especially Cooper) loved going up and down stairs too. If I was upstairs and Coop was downstairs he'd climb up and try to find me. It really is fun to get to know them and learn their personalities - quirks and all.
