hey everyone -
Pablo recently finished shedding the top of his head, with this part left over. I have been giving him baths, gently scrubbing the area with a toothbrush, and applying a little coco oil at times to help soften it up. However no luck - its really on there. A few of the scales flaked off in the surrounding area and now hes just left with this. It doesnt seem to be bothering him but it definitely bothers me! Any suggestions, advice, or opinions are appreciated!
For some info - He's over a year old, 2 in june. A happy and healthy lizard in a 55 gallon tank, with optimal heat and UVB lights with multiple basking spots at varying degrees. No loose substrate. Tons of logs and things that he uses to rub himself on to help the shed. This is the only stuck one he's ever had!
Sometimes those sheds can be stubborn. I'd just be patient with him. Do you see him rubbing his nose up against things? Applying the oil or some plain aloe may help but it's probably not necessary. It should come free on it's own once the skin underneath is ready to go.

Thanks for the reply! He's not rubbing his face very much at all and it really doesnt seem to be bothering him. Its been like this for a couple weeks so just wanted to make sure its not something i should be too concerned about (but of course i will be).
I don't see any signs of wound. It just looks like a thick shed of some fairly tough scales. Keep an eye on it but I don't see any cause for concern at the moment.
