Thank you. After I put her back in her basking spot she seemed to be fine. She hasn't sneezed or stretched her beard. But unfortunately she goes to sleep around 11pm. so she didn't stay in her basking spot for more then an hour before tucking her self into bed for the night. And my night time heat bulb blew ( the one that only gives off heat no light) temps don't fall below 70 degrees.kingofnobbys":3hy1794a said:I've not had it happen to any of my gang, but others here have.
She could have aspirated some water .... keep her nice and warm and place her on a ramp (towel folded to have a high and a low side) with her head higher than her bottom, this way any water that might have been aspirated has a chance to drain back out of her lungs and the warmth will help any water in her lungs evaporate.
Hope she comes good soon for you.

I do not have a heat pad. Maybe I should just leave her day light bulb on? I know it disturbs her sleep. But I would imagine getting good heat for the night is better then losing 1 night of sleep.kingofnobbys":15d1p5fv said:Ashleymthornton1990":15d1p5fv said:Thank you. If you have a spare heat pad laying about, you could slip it under her bed maybe.
sorry I meant basking under her lamp. She has a 55 gallon long tank and it's very high. Her uvb light is mounted on the inside of her tank and her basking spot is a wooden box and a log the runs up the side of it so she can get as close to her heat lamp as she wants. Before I gave her a bath she was laying on the bottom of her tank or she would lay in her bed which is beside her basking spot but still on the bottom of her tank. She stayed there for the most of the day. That's when I decided it was time to give her a bath.AHBD":a36usc9u said:Hi Ashley, she should be fine ...a little extra heat would have been good overnight but it's best to never leave the light on overnight.
Many owners say they bathe their dragon at night, it's almost as if they think in human terms of bathing a child at the end of the day. With beardies baths should be given no more than once a week , unless the dragon is dirty and this should be done in the earlier or middle part of the day allowing at least 2-3 hours for the dragon to completely dry off in the heat of the tank after being patted with a towel briefly. I usually don't give her a bath because her old owners never gave her one and the water freaks her out. I usually just mist her with water. But by the way she was acting and not wanting to bask I figured she was dehydrated. Which I was correct. This morning when I got up she was basking on her log she is very alert and happy. She also ate some fresh greens.
Just a couple things to remember for next time.
Oh, BTW, when you say sunbathing do you mean outside ?
