Stress marks + cold side

Since we changes is terrarium (last week), Wilson seems to bask a bit, chill and the get darker and lay in the cold spot. I am wondering if it is because the cold spot is « higher » and he expects it to be warmer ? what do you guys think?

his basking spot is at 108
hot spot at 86
cold spot at 78

Are you getting the surface basking spot w/ a digital probe thermometer? Is he basking at all you said a bit how long? what is the ambient temp on the hot side 86? You want it around 100 -

Ok well, I use a IR gun, for the basking spot.
And two digital thermometers. I just rearranged their position and cold spot is now at 84 and hot side at 96 and rising.

I moved him to the center and no more stress mark and grey beard… (?)

Digital probe battery ran out, ordered some.

He basks a couple hours a day, goes basking then runs around, goes back etc. his poops seems ok.

Ok so your good then w/ temps- if hes basking then he knows what he needs -- I would say hes fine
