So, my beardy is probably about 9-10 months old now. Just starting today- she's been glass surfing. She will even stand on the log, prep for a jump, and jump into the glass and fall. So I took her out thinking she just wants to get out, and then she pretty much just glass surfs from OUTSIDE the tank wanting to go back in lol. I don't get it. THe only thing that I've changed is I took out this branch thing to give her more space to move.
Given her age it's probably just a teenage phase in which they go a little bit nuts. Best thing to do if that's the case is to take her out and let her run around in a safe area of the house to burn off energy. Other than that you just need to wait it out. It may last weeks or months. If she's still eating well, her weight is stable or increasing, and she's alert she's probably OK.
A clamp lamp with a ZooMed Repti Basking spot light (no UVB) or a MVB such as a Powersun 100w or MegaRay 100w clamped to the side of a table (bulb about 12'' up) works really well for that. She'll learn where it is and will return when she gets cold.
