Rorans temps are 80-102, he is ruffly 4 months old. Only will eat things that move at the moment. Last Sunday Roran went to the doc for his check up and his fecal came back normal, no more worms! But then yesterday morning his poop was almost entirely cricket skeletons. I gave him a bath and he pooped out another large one just the same. He only ate 8 crickets yesterday and then this morning had another cricket poop that was the most disgusting thing I have ever smelt! Please help!
I would also suggest getting the basking temps up just a tad closer to 110*F. This will help digesting the prey insects. Also, smelly poos sometimes indicate parasites, so a fecal exam may be in order.
Janie.
I agree! Def try uping those temps a bit. Also, what size feeders are you giving? Just curious because if the feeders are too big they can have issues digesting as well. The live feeders should be no bigger then the space between your bearded dragons eyes.
The crickets are the right size, I am the annoying person at the pet store that makes sure they only give me certain ones His poop looked better this morning and thats when I realized that his infrared heat lamp burnt out. Aren't those things supposed to last longer than 3 months?
Lmao! That's funny about being the annoying person @ the pet store because that use to be me as well, until I started ordering on line. lol
Honestly, I'm not too sure about the Infrared heat lamp because I don't use them. I just use the basking light during the day & no light &/or heat @ night because the house doesn't drop below 65.
