Hi, i just upgraded my beardie to a 40g and basically its all well except i accidentally created a decently large crack in this tank which i think could collapse eventually and though this is irrelevant to a bearded dragon itself, its just for my beardie and i hve a few q’s.
1. Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this crack?
2. Should i invest in an homemade enclosure rather than paying another $200+ for a tank, if so how should i build it. Thanks.

If it's a glass tank - I'd call a glassier in, they can replace the broken cracked sheet of glass. I don't think there is a good way to repair a crack in soda glass.
A crack in the glass will only grow with continual thermal cycling and it poses a danger to everyone including the resident dragon.
I'd build a timber enclosure using 3/4" thick plywood with sliding glass front doors …. much better than any junky petshop glass or laminate particle board (melamine) tanks.
