Hey, my beardie loves hornworms she's goes absolutley crazy for them but idk that's a stable feeder? Also she loves Phoenix worms as well. And of coarse I'm giving her crickets. But I was just curious what other live feeders should I use as a stable?
Hornworms are great to feed, as are Silkworms, roaches like Dubia or Discoids, crickets, Repti-Worms and Butterworms. Occasional feeders would be Superworms and waxworms.
Hornworms are great, the only reason they are an occasional treat for my guys is liquidy stool... I really dislike it when my boys run through the watery mess they leave behind and decide to go finger painting. :?
Hornworms are good but can cause a nasty runny poo, more work for you and nasty to boot. Mix them in with some less "mushy" creatures such as a dubia colony. The dubia are the easiest thing I have ever done for my dragons hands down, they live in a box in the closet and eat leftovers like apple cores carrots potatos w/e. I'm an avid Dubia pusher, get them they are awesome.
yea i have noticed that with the hornworms.. running poo= no fun lol. but thanks you all helped out alot ill deff try toe dubia roaches just dont think my father will be too fond of roaches in the house  but ill try anyways. just one more question: are repti-worms, pheonix worms, silk worms and calci-worms all the same? just different names?
This is true. The silkworm is the larvae form of the silkmoth. Most of our feeders are actually larvae. The super worm is the larva of the darkling beetle.
I'm starting to really think insects are kool. Lol
