My 3-year-old bearded dragon Spikey has a spot on her tail where she has had a reoccurring scale issue. She gets a spot where it looks like an old patch of shed. this happened about a year ago in the same spot and the patch peeled off with time. when the patch came off, it revealed that she had a black spot on one of her scales. this black spot has gotten slightly larger with time and it is visible on her new shed patch. what do I need to do to help the shed come off and how do I address the black spot? I will attach an image.
That just looks like a scale blemish with the scales around it about to shed. You shouldn't need to take any action and the shedding scales will come free eventually. The dark spot looks similar to a freckle. Unless it starts to look wounded or scabby I wouldn't worry about it.
