[QUOTE="Spider8ait1994, post: 2029301, member: 101939"] I just like to do what I can when there’s an animal in need and I know I can help. These two definitely live in luxury now and I’ve actually recently found out that Spike is older than I’d guessed and is actually no younger than 8 years old so I have made some adjustments to his enclosure by adding an accessibility ramp to his upper basking platform to make it easier on him to get up there. Hoping he has many more years ahead of him and for the most part he’s still going strong. I know they average between 10-12 years in captivity but the vet he sees has mentioned they see dragons that have exceeded that and the oldest dragon they see regularly is actually 18 years old. I think the fact that dragons seem to be exceeding the average lifespan more and more in these past years goes to show people are more aware of appropriate care for the species and are providing it which is great to see.
