I just witnessed my two oldest beardies mating. Recently my Waterdragon layed eggs (12/28) and I made a pretty nifty homemade incubator which is working great! But for my Beardies eggs, as she will lay more, I want to purchase an incubator. Between the Hovabator and ZooMed Repitabor which one is the best?
She was pretty adamant about it, kept following him around until he finally paid attention to her and did the deed. She didn't flinch or do anything. I hope she's not a "Loosey Goosey" geez
Spike is a Citrus Leatherback hopefully we'll get a few leathers in the clutch.
Well although my homemade incubator is doing GREAT with my WD eggs. I did buy a hovabator as well. I have had it up and running for almost a full day and it holds temps pretty good so I'll try it out when she lays. If its not good I can always put them in my homemade with my other eggs. My WD eggs are looking great, plumping up, I can see the veins. It looks like 8 out of her 9 eggs are fertile, one looks healthy but when I candle it its yellow as the other ones are pink/red.
Keep in mind the hova bator, and much others that are styrofoam, the ambient room temperature can effect the temp inside the incubator. Just make sure you keep in in a closet or room that stays almost a constant temperature.
Here soon I hope to invest in an incubator from hotbox incubators.
