Special Needs Rescue

So my newest rescue is a juvenile that doesn't have use of their hind legs. I'm trying to decide between the Zen 24" or 16" tall. My first beardie, Ollie, is in the 16" because he can't use his front legs. Andy though can use their front legs and has been climbing all over their quarantine tank. If I do the 24" tall I am thinking of doing shelves and ramps for additional stability and safety. I don't want to underestimate them and give them a boring home. Thanks for any suggestions and opinions.

If you do the taller tank, maybe do folded towels or cushions in case he falls in the beginning. At least until your sure how well he can manage to move around. Why does he not have use of his legs? Injury or mbd? If it's mbd there is a chance that with good care he may regain some use. I had a rescue that did.

Does your dragon drag his back legs? If yes, I'd avoid all kind of rough objects like tree bark, real stones...
In addition to folded towels or cushions to soften falls, I'd go for artificially-only "stones" and "branches", they are smoother and reduce the risk of rubbing a dragon's skin raw. Also the shelves, I have done mine with rough tile glue and sand, feels sandpaper-like - if a dragon cannot use their back legs and drags them, I would be cautious.
(As much as I love real stones, wood with bark, sand... and use them for my dragon, as it helps with claws and pores and just gives them more texture, in case of a dragon dragging their legs, I would avoid them very much.)

From what the vet can tell it was most likely an injury, and per my friend I rescued them from, she thinks it happened during shipping. She works at a big box store and I guess per their policies they would have euthanized the little guy. So I figured I see if I can give them a chance at a decent life since I already have another special needs one.

Anyone that rescues an animal in need and tries to give it a good life is a hero in my book especially a beardie.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
