I want to make 100% sure that Mushu has the correct lighting so she will be HEALTHY. There's only a million different uva/uvb bulbs. I have the ZooMed ReptiSun 10.0 Desert fluorescent lamp in her beardie home. Is this the correct bulb? She also has a screen top. Will the screen filter out too many rays? Please help.
The reptisun 10.0 TUBE (not the compact) or the arcadia 12% are the only acceptable lights to use with a bearded dragon. ALL compact bulbs can cause health problems. So if ur reptisun is the tube bulb then yes u have the right one. And yes the screen will filter out the uvb rays. U need to mount it inside the tank where when basking ur beardie is within 6-8 inches from the bulb. Most ppl use the 3m command strip tapes to easily mount the fixture inside the viv. Hope this hlps.
