Someone pls help !!

I’ve called numerous pet stores and no one has been able to give me the right instructions for lighting we have a baby bearded dragon from pet smart that we got about 4 days ago he seems to be doing ok he eats but is drinking no water even when we soak him

for lighting we have a heat basking lamp 100 w and a uvb bar light not a coil light we have a 40 gallon tank and the temp only gets to 80 to 83 we measure it with a temperature probe we got today i don’t know if we should upgrade to 150 or if that would be to hot for the baby

I will insert a picture of our setup can someone also tell us if we set it up correctly and the distance between the two light thanks !!

Is his substrate sand? If so, please remove it. How far away is the uvb from his basking spot?

You should try to have overlap in the uvb and basking so he doesn't have to chose 1 or the other. Basking needs to be 105 to 110 for a baby measured with a digital probe thermometer.
As for water, beardies don't always recognize standing water. Try using an eyedropper to drip it on his snout. If he still don't drink add in a little NONE citrus fruit punch to give it flavor. Go slow and at his pace, don't force it use could get it in his lungs. I have had tremendous luck that way, i add in liquid calcium to mine as well.

Hello,

How is your dragon doing? Have you been able to get him to drink some water from a dropper or a
syringe?
I probably missed it but what brand of tube bulb are you using? I would try to get the basking light a
bit closer to the tube bulb for help in creating a heat & UVB basking area.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
