Cleans when changing colors and builds a block of filament as it changes and cleans the head. A very detailed design with a lot of changes per layer will have a ton of waste. Works best when it can do one color for a long time then switch for X layers rather than having multiple colors on a single level.I'm wondering how multi-color printing works? Does the printer have multiple nozzles? Or does it use one nozzle and somehow clean it when changing colors?
It's take on a beautiful Betta.Came with a full parts list including McMaster Carr part numbers to reference. The instructions are very thorough lol

Finally did an image to 3D print render of Alex smiling to print when the filament comes in. Test bed for multi colored print.
I can't wait to see the Alex printPrinted a lot of little trinkets for the kiddo to give away on his trip. No pics, sorry. Printing up some adapters for the spools that are coming later today. Then it's back to printing Nerf stuff then a multi color Alex
That's pretty cool to.
The Pomeranian Betta? I haven't deleted that one yet lol The chicken was funny too lolThat's pretty cool to.
My printed dragon ...... my store bought printed dragon that is lmao (it was in a reptile store and I couldn't resist )The Pomeranian Betta? I haven't deleted that one yet lol The chicken was funny too lol
In the meantime, adapter for third party spools of filament Printed directly from their app. They sell filament spools and refills as well as support modifications for third party. Could probably print a couple at a time. Will need four but don't think I have enough filament. Another print was as easy as hitting print again.

The yellow is very light, I'm not sure if it was intentional or if the person that printed was just changing colors anyway.Cool dragon. Looks like it's even printed in different colors.
There are spools (I ordered some but they didn't fit) that are rainbow /multicolored that do that effect. That's what I'd really like to print her out in. An orange that fades into a blue or purple then white and black where needed with standard orange for the body. I really just need to add that back patterning and maybe a red to orange for her beard. The yellow is very light, I'm not sure if it was intentional or if the person that printed was just changing colors anyway.
I always wanted to learn cad but never had the opportunity. It seems like a cool skill to possess. There are spools (I ordered some but they didn't fit) that are rainbow /multicolored that do that effect. That's what I'd really like to print her out in. Also, I think I saw that articulated file available. Wasn't sure if it was print in place (which is super cool, I did a sea turtle fidget for the kid) or separate parts. I might get the STL file and resize it in CAD. I made some "Gunnar MI tour 2024" commemorative coins from scratch for him to take with him. Slowly learning CAD. This was very basic and easy and gave me a good intro to it. Circle, add depth, add ridge, add lettering print. Took like 15 minutes to make the initial then a bit of tweaking after I printed an oval coin that couldn't make a 4 and said 2021 lol Couple height tweaks and I pretty much nailed it. The letters missed the plate by a couple points of a mm so the backside is filled with a thin layer of well applied in small letters support filler lol Good enough. I'll adjust the depth for the next time I print some. Changing the words is easy at that point.
Wow that stinks!Another set of filament to return lol Amazon really needs to list the spool size and inner diameters. These were even smaller. Third time is the charm, right? lol
