hello,
i was bathing my beardie earlier. she was happy swimming in circles and drinking. i was supervising but i didnt touch her cause i know they can drown if you disturb them while drinking. than all of a sudden she sneezed 3 times in a row and scared me to death. in a minute she was back swimming in circles and all was fine. after a while she climbed out the bath and now she is basking. everything looks fine she isnt making noises or struggling to breathe. should i worry? i have been googlung ever since and u dont know if i should turn her upside down to drain her lungs? i dont see any water coming out of her nose or mouth

update: i tried the “tea pot method” cause i was a bit paranoid. tilted her but i did not force her to open ger mouth cause she hates that. there was no fluid coming of nose it mouth. she did however hold her head up (definetily lower than her behind but she was holding it up and looking at me like i was bothering her) i am a bit calmer now. after that she ran to her tank and jumped on the basking spot. it is warm enough for her to open ger mouth there now so that should evaporate the fluid if there is any. if anybody with experience could share their opinion it would mean a lot to me

Please no swimming.
Beardies use the same muscle group to walk/swim and to breathe they can not do borh at once. If they can't reach the bottom they can drown. And it happens very quickly. My boy Zen aspirated in water that didn't even reach his belly, and he did it with me standing right there. It only takes 1 breath to aspirate. It just isn't worth the risk.

she could reach the bottom 😅 the water isnt that deep when i bathe her ( to her elbows approximately) but she pancakes and tries to swim anyway thats why i said swimming.

99.999% percent of the time things will be ok, but after Zen I'm very paranoid of water 🙂
I'd rather mention it than have someone else experience it 🙂
