Hye I’m a new owner to Almost 4 months old beardie. I just bought mine recently and he will undergo shedding at that time. As what I read I soak him and I did put aloe vera gel once at his tail because I realise that the skin was rough and a bit darken at the tip.
Yesterday he began to shed his tail and his appetite is all good. But to day as I just finish cleaning his tank I spot that the tip of his tail was off from his tail. Was it tail rot???
His tail is fine -- if it was tail rot it would be black and brittle and dried out- he does not need a lot of baths - he can be sprayed in the tank when his skin gets really scaely dried out crackly then take a soft baby tooth brush and brush him -- after getting him wet---- it will brush off --- giving him baths after just bringing him home will stress him out -- he needs to get used to his surroundings -- if you have any questions about your light set up or anything else please ask
