Back in the cave excavating :) She's starting a shed, getting a bit chunky, digging a lot.... No clue what that could mean lol Maybe it means she's actually getting her brumation on schedule with winter in the North. Where she was born. As were her parents and grandparents lol

How old is she now? She could be gravid.

2.5 or so. It's something that has crossed my mind. She's about due for her checkup (haven't gotten the reminder yet but probably soon) So I'll see what Brads availability is and set her up. I know they're booked out awhile, but also that they love seeing Alex and my wife is who she is so they would probably set up something sooner just to see them lol
She worked there a very long time, then took over a nearby sister hospital as manager. Turned that place around and was supposed to take over her old hospital when that manager retired. Instead she was offered a larger practice a bit further away as a stepping stone towards becoming the district manager on the corporate side. So they love her already and want to see Alex all the time lol

Pretty crazy world. One of her colleagues left for a position at UCLA Berkeley for a new animal behavior/ neurology department a few years ago and just did a talk at an international conference in China about it last month. I like her a lot. One of my wife's friends I can actually talk to lol

Oh that is cool.
I'd say offer her a dig box just on case but you already did lol.
She is at the right age to start laying to.
Or she could just be having fun. Most of them do like to dig.

She's always liked digging but now she can actually make a den. But she digs a lot more going into brumation and like you said she is that age. Hopefully she just passes an egg or two to show she's healthy and goes about being cute about it lol

I'm guessing it'll be an egg or 25 if she's gravid 😉😁

Ruby was always a lil piggy when she had loose substrate to. But man they like it!
I'm glad I have a combo she can really dig in. Part dragon sand, part punky Douglas fir wood and bark chips, part well used organic soil that I had mixed in with clay for my camas that I replanted. Digs easy and stays piled up. I have chunks of fir bark to hold up another piece to be the roof of what is mimicking an old stump for her dig under.
